About

I believe that safety and trust are key to a clinician-client relationship. Having lived in and been shaped by various cultures throughout my life, I recognize the profound impact of social contexts on shaping our identities. While acknowledging the influence of our environment, I like to help clients understand the impact of external factors on their relationships and lives, and empower them with deeper understanding as they work toward their achieving their goals personally, relationally, and professionally. I tailor my therapeutic interventions to my clients individual needs, drawing from a strength-based approach, CBT and DBT.

I specialize in providing compassionate therapy to college students and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, cultural identity, and interpersonal relationships. I also enjoy working with clients around issues of major life transitions, gender and sexuality, building more effective coping skills, and managing stress related to school and work.

I am passionate about expanding mental health access and support, growing up in Vietnam, where the cultural outlook on mental health is challenging. Reaching out for help takes courage and is a sign of strength. I am ready and committed to learning about you, working with you, and utilizing all the knowledge and resources that I have if you are also ready.
