The therapeutic encounter is a unique collaborative journey. We cannot control what crosses our path, but we can see ourselves as brave enough to face it. People come to me when they want support to improve their relationships with themselves and others and with substances or food. I provide a safe space to explore the past and present, conflicts, anxiety, depression, loss and longings. I work extensively with couples and individuals using Emotion Focused Therapy, an effective attachment-based practice to deepen insight, and build connection. I can hold your story. I am trauma-informed. I won't shy away from the hard stuff. View 4 Photos I am trained in Emotion Focused Couples Therapy, an attachment-evidence based practice. Prior to private practice, I worked in hospital settings providing therapy and education to patients and families facing substance abuse, disordered eating and dual diagnosis. I am an adaptive avid learner and listener. I worked as an art professor 17+ years in New York. When seen fully by another, we can see ourselves more fairly and completely, which is grounding and expansive. Connection with my clients is essential. I work relationally to help you explore your world, know yourself better, take steps to change. Therapy is a brave journey to access the gold within. Call to schedule. I look forward to our conversation!
