About

I treat a vast variety of people with a wide array of issues. I stay fairly current in session, although the importance of our past cannot be underestimated. We coped and survived in a certain way as children. This is not to say these strategies are bad, they just are not useful anymore and new ones are to be explored to enhance the rest of your life. Some areas are relationships, dating, breakups, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, workaholic challenges. creativity, gay issues, and success.

My specialties are death, dying, grieving, chronic and terminal illness, and loss. I also work with depression, anxiety, illness, as well as people with no diagnoses - just a need to sort out a current issue, are in a crisis, or want to learn coping or communications skills (especially important with couples).

My training was psychodynamic, but I have a verbal, interactive, and eclectic approach. I am not technique-oriented, since everyone is individual. I feel that not only listening is essential, but interaction and dialogue too.
