I have found that my study of Family Systems Theory has illuminated my practice with individuals and couples. The tool set of Family Therapy can be very powerful in an individual therapy context when dealing with issues such as eating disorders, anxiety/panic, or depression. And because our intimate or spousal relationships can often be the screen on which we project our inherited difficulties, the family therapy model can also be a great resource for couples seeking a relationship of balance and longevity. I have over 30 years experience in private practice, where I offer a clear, calm and concise therapeutic process in a confidential and supportive environment. My approach is psycho-dynamic and flexible; I value practicality and results over theoretical consistency. Founder and Executive Director of The Womens Therapy Network and former Director of Creative Arts Therapies at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. An understanding of the creative mind and its importance to emotional health continues to inform my work.
