About
I have worked with all age groups with diverse backgrounds, though I specialize in culturally-centered treatment for fellow Indigenous peoples. My personal studies include extensive work on grief, depression, and anxiety through an existential lens. As such, my ideal client is one who has such presenting issues and who requires support from someone who has experienced, been treated for, and wishes to get treatment from a counselor who has a deep personal understanding of shared issues. As a primarily existential/narrative practitioner, my perspective on human experience and the challenges we all face, as well as the power of how we structure our own life stories related to these events, allows for us to create an environment of collaboration in which we can decode problems and find solutions to create a brighter future. I have a deep desire to help people through their struggles due to my own experience of the power of psychotherapy. Counseling has been a saving grace in my own life and I wish to utilize my knowledge and experience to pass on the help that I have been so fortunate to experience in my own life.
