By seeking therapy you are taking an important step toward achieving a greater sense of fulfillment in life. You may currently be experiencing painful feelings, longstanding problems, or feeling stuck in repetitive patterns. Therapy can provide an opportunity to better understand the problems that occur in your life. Developing insight into yourself can lead to lasting change, such as more satisfying relationships, a more gratifying experience at work, recovery from trauma, and an alleviation of symptoms of anxiety and depression. I believe that therapy begins by creating a safe, secure, and nonjudgemental atmosphere where you feel free to explore your feelings and ideas and to talk openly about your experiences. I have been practicing for 6 years with adults, adolescents, and children. I received post graduate training at the Institute for Psychoanalytic Education which is affiliated with NYU Medical School. My approach is primarily psychodynamic but I have also had good outcomes incorporating aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trauma Focused (TF-CBT).
