Welcome! My name is Britny Kerwin, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a passion for empowering others to reach their goals. I have worked with all different types of clients and populations. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, bullying, and family conflict to name a few. I often utilize a person-centered approach, as I am a strong believer that you are the expert of yourself and your life. I may implement tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to support your progress and long-term success.
I want to make your experience as pleasant and safe as possible. I understand that therapy and opening up can be scary; therefore, I go at your own pace and do my best to create a warm and welcoming environment. I will work with you to create a treatment plan and establish realistic and attainable goals that focus on your presenting problems and concerns.
During our first session, I will review policies and procedures and answer any questions you may have. We will work together to determine if we are a good fit and begin to address what brought you to therapy and what you are looking to get out of this experience.
