About

Each of us goes through periods where we feel stuck or overwhelmed, and the path through has become difficult to find. My hope is to provide a space and relationship where you can better understand yourself and find the freedom to move forward again. From the first meeting, I approach therapy as a collaborative process where it is most important that you feel understood, supported, and accepted. I value being able to support people of diverse identities and backgrounds. Your many cultural contexts are important to me in understanding the shape of your life and struggles.

I frequently help people work through difficulties with relationships, depression, anxiety/panic, trauma/PTSD, grief, and academic/career struggles. As a gay man, I particularly enjoy working with concerns related to gender and sexual identities (LGBTQIA). I'm experienced at providing letters of support for hormone therapy and gender confirmation surgery.

It is important to find a good fit with your therapist. I will be happy to talk with you by phone for a free consultation to discuss what you would like to focus on in therapy and to answer any questions you may have.
