It’s not easy to seek help. And it’s even harder to place your trust in someone to start that process. Maybe you’re tired of doing it all on your own, and of telling yourself the same stories over again. Why don’t we try to sort it out together? We might not know what the destination is, and together we can figure it out. I believe that stories and language are how we come to understand ourselves. Therapy allows for a rare space where together we come to listen and to be listened to, and to understand and evolve those stories. I don’t believe in a one size fits all approach. How we work together is uniquely dependent on how you are as a person—the issues you want to talk about, and how we interact with one another. My approach is informed by theories about how we develop as individuals in a society, along with clinical research experience and my own life experiences.
