Ben Davis, MA, ATR-BC, LCAT (he/him) is a psychotherapist, educator and author, as well as the founder and director of Full Spectrum Creative Arts Therapy. Over the past two decades, Ben has focused on the unique and specific needs of transgender and non-binary individuals and families. He uses art therapy and verbal modalities with youth and adult clients, aiming to build personal agency and empower healing. His approach to therapy is warm, empathic and strength-based, and is informed by non-pathologizing treatment models, community-based research, creative arts modalities, systems theory and queer advocacy. Ben's partnerships have included the New York City Department of Health, Callen Lorde Community Center, the Gender Identity Project, the Ackerman Institute's Gender & Family Project, New York University, and the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH). Ben is GEI SOC8 Certified. Ben is committed to supporting trans and gender diverse individuals move towards actualization of their authentic selves. He provides psychotherapy, clinical supervision and consultation. His's last two publications include What Everyone Needs to Know: Gender (2020), and Art Therapy Practices for Resilient Youth (2019).
