About

I see my role as a psychotherapist as that of the catalyst for change. I integrate therapeutic techniques to foster a safe, non-judgmental counseling environment where clients are able to do their internal work. The approaches I utilize include Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Mind/Body Awareness. My roles in life have included being an elementary and middle school educator, caregiver, spouse, parent of adult children, and most recently grandparent. I'm experienced in the dynamics of the ever-evolving family system. View 6 Photos

I specialize in working with adults, older adults, couples, and families who may be experiencing: Transitions, Grief and Loss, Healing Racial Wounds, End of life, Spirituality, Anxiety, Depression, Work Stress, Life/Work Balance, Multicultural Women's Challenges, Single Living, Relationship Obstacles, and Self -Regulation.

I enjoy working with individuals and I'm also experienced in facilitating group therapy. I enjoy supporting group members as they find their voice, give/receive support, and learn to relate to others and self. I lead workshops and in-service within the community. I am passionate about helping others heal, grow, and live their best lives.
