Therapists » Licensed Professional Counselor
I have successfully taught children as early as those in Program Head Start, before becoming a Texas Teacher & School Counselor, and ultimately a LPC-Supervisor . As a child advocate who tries to understand the needs of the child in hopes of helping with mental or emotional turmoil. One may say or think that I specialize in treating children? This would be false, because I can't recall a situation where I could help the child without helping the parents, and even the whole family. Family history and dynamics plays a "Huge" role in your child's development and behaviors. Honestly, I don't like to use the word "Specialty". To me it limits or narrows ones skills and talents a person has been trained to give to their general public. Mental and Behavioral health is a profession which covers a broad spectrum of issues and approaches one may take. Alief Educational Services Center is a 501 (C)(3) Non-Profit organization. This means that if you are looking for ways help your community, you can donate to our public charity, and receive an IRS tax deduction for your donations. We will also consider your interest in donating your time.
