About

I'm a licensed clinical health psychologist specializing in the treatment of persons with co-occurring medical conditions and mental health problems. These issues are typically related to and separate from various traumas, pre-/post-surgery adjustment or complications, new medical diagnoses or treatment (cancer, chemo, amputation), a complex medical course, displacement, &/or prolonged hospitalization. I specialize in anxiety/mood issues, insomnia, stress management, acute trauma, health behavior change and weight loss, chronic pain, smoking cessation & relapse prevention.

My coaching work consists of a practical, solution-focused approach. My therapy integrates the biopsychosociocultural framework & transtheoretical model of health behavior change. I integrate sociocultural factors impacting chronic illness, health behaviors, & psychological functioning.

My practice is entirely virtual so I work w/people across NC. I offer brief solution-focused coaching and individual therapy. Therapy is a collaborative process where we co-construct treatment goals based upon your needs. I welcome any questions via a free 15-min phone consultation. I look forward to helping improve your general and psychological well-being!
