I am extremely passionate about working within the Latinx community to strive towards making mental health more accessible, and utilizing my role to de-stigmatize barriers to make services more culturally attuned. I am also passionate about working with teenagers, young adults (18-28), and adults that face issues such as anxiety, depression, transitional phases of life, anger, grief, BIPOC issues, 1st Gen. issues, etc. As for couples, friendships, and partnerships, I help work towards breaking patterns/cycles, managing conflict, and increasing communication and connection. Some of my favorite approaches include Experiential Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, DBT, & CBT. While I use these modalities, I strive to incorporate a client-centered approach with a trauma-informed lens for all my clients. My main focus is to always implement a systemic framework as we all exist from the context we live in. I help by meeting the client where they are at. I believe it is important to let clients take the lead in their healing journey and help navigate their stressors and goals along the way. I enjoy bringing in a collaborative approach to work towards what works best for you. I strive to have a balance of both humor and conversation in the therapy room.
