About

“It’s never too late to become the person you always wanted to be,” a quote by Anne Sweeney guides my work as a mental health professional. Whether you’ve tried therapy before with little success or this is your first venture into asking for help with life’s seemingly endless obstacles, I believe every day is a new opportunity to take a step towards fulfilling your unique destiny. In my work I use Natural Processing, a modality taking elements from EMDR and Somatic Experiencing to help clients work through a range of presenting issues by targeting how both the body and brain are affected by adverse experiences.

By focusing simply on the physiological manifestations related to our adverse experiences, my work with clients is able to move away from surface-level diagnostic labels and get to the meat of what’s really creating the symptoms showing up present-day. As such, the work is more efficient and more in-depth than standard talk therapy.

You’ve already taken the first step to seek help by searching for possible therapists, and if you join me at Soar Psychotherapy, I believe our work together will help you gain the skills necessary for becoming that person you’ve always wanted to be.
