Hello, my name is Anne Brace. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I've had many years of experience helping diverse clients create safe and fulfilling lives. I look forward to collaborating with new clients on their unique challenges. I have worked most often with adult women and have also provided mental health services to adult men, teenagers, children, and families. I am currently most interested in working with adults, on issues of anxiety, self-confidence/assertiveness, mood challenges, trauma histories, attachment/parenting, LGBTQ+ concerns, and culture-based stresses. I use an eclectic (mixed theory) approach to therapy. My perspective is Client Focused. I am influenced by Solution Based, Cognitive Behavioral, Humanistic Existential, Psychodynamic, and Gestalt approaches. I often use a "Trauma informed" focus. I have also been trained in Art Therapy, which I have used with children, men, women. I have been told by clients that they appreciate my approachable yet respectful style. I am always curious about their stories, but I do not pressure anyone to share difficult details. My clients own their narratives, which we explore together in collaboration. My clients teach me who they are. I speak fluent Spanish and French.
