About

Healthy relationships exist among people and groups who are willing and able to meet each other's needs. In my experience conflict and distress arise when a person's needs are not met. I am committed to helping clients identify, name, and define their needs in order to create better circumstances to achieve them. The specific areas I find most helpful are intrapersonal, relational, and spiritual.

My therapeutic philosophy is one that actively and intentionally explores the intersection of race, religion and mental health. I specialize in non-emergency couple, family, group, and individual mental health therapy for adolescents and adults with a special interest in serving African American and other marginalized client populations.

I am a client-centered therapist who understands that conflicts we face in life are connected to the interactions and relationships we encounter daily. I am focused on helping clients embrace the discomfort that arises when two opposing realities exist in the same space.
