I understand how difficult it can be to take the first step in seeking treatment. I have extensive experience in guiding my clients through change and growth. Depression and anxiety occur across all ethnic groups and walks of life, however these challenges are very responsive to psychotherapy. Individuals with a history of abuse or other adverse childhood experiences are more likely to need assistance in adulthood. I work with clients to decrease symptoms and create improved emotional health, allowing them to move forward with their relationships and life goals. Our early relationships create patterns that help or hinder our connection to others and how we interpret life experiences. Therapy allows these patterns to be revealed and understood, creating the opportunity for healing. My practice focuses on the brain's response to adversity, using evidence based therapies to help clients improve their lives. I provide compassionate, nonjudgmental psychotherapy through a safe and collaborative relationship. My approach combines a psychodynamic background to understand the context of the patient's life experiences, with cognitive behavioral and mindfulness skill development to improve wellness, emotional balance and the development of healthy relationships.
