My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space. There we can learn more about the real you, maybe even discover who “you” are for the first time, and explore how to value yourself. I do this by challenging negative self talk, teaching self-compassion, and coaching coping skill use. Let me guess... Sounds impossible, right? I’d like you to know there is no need for you to justify how you feel because your feelings are valid. Please take a moment to read that again. Your feelings are valid. So are your experiences! With 18+ years of experience in the criminal justice and social services fields, I enjoy working with adults struggling with all things trauma, anxiety, and depression. If you have ever wondered whether your experience is “bad enough” to deserve safe and healthy support, the answer is, 1,000% yes! Your trauma is valid. Your experience is valid. I find that using a genuine, lighthearted yet straightforward, and strength-based approach in combination with a variety of evidence-based treatment techniques is the most effective way to work together. My goal isn’t to waste your time. My goal is to help you achieve what it is you came here for-because you are worth it and I believe in you.
