Hello and welcome! My name is Allie and I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working with individuals ages 14+ and families in the states of California and Hawaii. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, meaning the quality of the relationship you have with your therapist matters. My hope is that our relationship can be an honest, understanding, and helpful one that leads you to the change that is needed in your life. I’m looking forward to getting to know all the different and unique things that make you, you! Talk therapy can often be incredibly challenging when you are repeatedly discussing traumatic experiences that overwhelm your nervous system. This is why EMDR was created. A main focus of EMDR is that of “bilateral stimulation” in which we allow the brain to naturally heal. Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions about EMDR! My approach is tailored to the needs of my client, as each individual or family has unique needs that deserve authentic and flexible attention. My work draws largely from psychodynamic/psychoanalytic and attachment-based therapy, mixed with family systems theory, mindfulness, and EMDR when appropriate. We'll be taking a deep look at your past and present.
