I am here to support you with the challenges that you are experiencing at this time. I will guide you through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness techniques, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and other creative approaches that I gained in my Counseling and Art Therapy graduate program at University of Illinois at Chicago. For 20 years I have worked with families and adults individually and in groups in a variety of settings; including day treatment and residential treatment programs, a children's hospital, corrections, community mental health, schools, and home-based treatment. View 3 Photos I provide a safe space for people to be heard and seen. I suggest practical tools and offer guidance to support people who've experienced trauma and people who are feeling overwhelmed. I specialize in creative approaches to mood management and transforming grief and loss. Mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy help people build from their strengths. Through years of my own life experience and continued specialized training, I am aware of the complexity of each individual's human experience. I know that it is vulnerable to seek support for personal, intimate emotional needs, and I see strength and bravery in connecting for support. I'm open to guide you as you develop skills to best serve your own growth
