About

Alexis earned her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Northwestern University and is currently working towards expanding her work in counseling within the Dayton community. Alexis has a background in nutrition and a variety of movement forms (dance, yoga, and Pilates) and is passionate about facilitating wellness with her clients. Alexis enjoys supporting teens and young adults who are exploring life transitions, adults and older adults from a variety of backgrounds with differing needs, as well as couples and families.

Clients: adolescents (10yo and up), teens, adults, older adults, couples, families. Areas of Focus: major life transitions, anxiety (including OCD,) depression, histories of trauma, familial conflicts, disordered eating, self-esteem, general life stressors, and other mental health concerns.

I believe that we are multi-faceted individuals, meaning there are many parts of our life that can cause us difficulty or that we may want to explore and/or change, and that we are not a singular identity. I encourage clients to partake in encouraging and supportive activities and relationships, in extension to traditional coping skills.
