Do you find yourself using your relationship with food as a way to keep your uncomfortable emotions at bay, only to find this emotion pops back up with vengeance after restricting, binging, or purging? Your eating disorder has helped you survive a traumatic and stressful environment, yet you now realize it is no longer needed to keep you afloat. Now what kept you alive for so long is holding you back from moving forward with your life. You want to make a change yet are uncertain how to even start healing your relationship with food and your body. In my sessions, I work to help clients heal their relationship with their body and self. I aim to work collaboratively with my clients to help them achieve a better self-understanding, acceptance, and connection with others in their lives. I have adopted a relational based approach while aligning family systems perspective/IFS, CBT, mindfulness, and ACT. It is my hope that by being a non-judgmental professional I can create a safe and nurturing space that allows each client to work towards to developing confidence and acceptance in one’s relationship with food, their bodies, and their emotions.
