Hello! Welcome to the private practice of Albert Pignataro, MFT. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (MFC 53486) practicing in Willow Glen, San Jose. I have over 15 years of experience providing therapy to adults, youth and families in individual therapy, couples counseling, and group therapy. Clinically, I focus on therapy for men and related issues, therapy for the LGBTQ+ community, and therapy for adult individuals and couples for anxiety, depression, poor self-esteem, and relationship issues. The focus of my work is to restore my client's access to their own core self to access their own innate wisdom and power. From this perspective, I work with issues such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, substance abuse, sexuality and intimacy, issues around cultural identities, spirituality and spiritual growth, life transitions. My therapeutic style is active and engaging. I employ reflective listening, strategic inquiry, and, when appropriate, I challenge your undermining beliefs . I cut though the "noise" and get to the heart of the matter in a caring and non-judgmental way, and with a good dose of humor when needed.
