Any problem that causes you anxiety or emotional pain is too big to hold on to alone. No problem is too big or so small that it can't be talked about with me. When we meet I will listen to you, help to identify your fears and guide you in seeing the reality of your true worth and innate value. You have the power within to find the courage and motivation to improve your life. With self-compassion and through self-acceptance you can begin to untangle the difficult thoughts and emotions that cause you distress. My request is that you are ready to engage in your session with thoughtfulness and a true desire to challenge your self-doubt. A trusting relationship in therapy is vital. With your trust, courage, and motivation, and in a supportive but challenging environment; I offer to help you acknowledge, understand, and begin to rewrite the negative stories and messages that you have come to believe about yourself and then to see the Truth of You. To help you is both my passion and privilege. As a survivor of incest and child of an alcoholic, my own history offers a deeper understanding of the challenge to rewrite your story and to move toward recovering from past harms. Lastly, my practice is secular, but I will always respect your own religious or philosophical beliefs.
