I have been helping individuals and families with relationships for over 30 years. I offer the kind of understanding that only a specialist can provide. I help enhance the quality of lives, solving life's inevitable challenges, resolving marriage and family conflicts and overcoming grief and loss. I us a family systems approach to help with marital and multigenerational family problems to help you define a self and reduce your anxiety in your marriage and family. I listen and help you learn who you are, how you would like to be and to develop the courage and tools to change.

I use a family systems approach to help you learn how to think about yourself and your problems in a new and different manner. The goal is to help you relieve your anxiety so that you will be less emotionally reactive to issues which may "push your button."

I am a doctorally trained and board certified clinical psychologist, adjunct faculty member at VCU, have written articles and taught family therapy nationally and internationally for over 30 years and am sought after as an expert for interviews by the media. Work life balance and pets are additional professional interests.
